Episode 035: Weight-Loss, Brain Boosts & All Things Ketosis

Meet Dustin

Dustin was born and raised in Fairmont, Minnesota, graduating from high school in 1995. He enjoyed many outdoor pursuits as a youth excelling in wrestling, football, and baseball.

He joined the United States Marine Corps at 18, selected to the Intelligence field and specialized in signals intelligence and later as radio reconnaissance marine. After his first deployment, Dustin was promoted to team leader of his Radio Reconnaissance Team. He was honorably discharged from the Marines in July 1999.  Thereafter, he attended Minnesota State University Mankato, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science while playing two years of college football.

Since 2001, Dustin has enjoyed working with thousands of people in areas of weight loss and strength building, as well as injury prevention and cardiovascular rehabilitation.  In 2006, he became a certified Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) specialist and has since earned 7,500 client hours of experience in the specialty. Through MAT, Dustin has assisted people of all ages and pursuits to strengthen their bodies, increase range of motion and achieve stability within the body. He has taken every advanced MAT course and is currently preparing for the Mastery Examination with the program.

In order to expand his knowledge, credentials, and business, Dustin became a BioSignature practitioner in 2008. He was trained by world-renowned strength coach Charles Poliquin in BioSignature Modulation, which now assists him to design the best nutrition, fitness and supplemental program for each individual client according to the location of fat on the body. Using Biosignature, Dustin works on the most problematic areas of a client, achieving fast and long-lasting results. He completed his Level One certification from the Poliquin International Certification Program (PICP) in 2011, in order to advance his knowledge of structural balance and program design.

Dustin felt that with the rise of golfer and golfing injuries he needed to take the Titleiest Performance  Certification. He uses the TPI screen to determine mechanical limitation that create swing limitations and potential injuries. He's also using a similar screening for tennis, baseball, surfers and skate boarding.

Dustin currently carries certifications from the following Associations: National Strength and Conditioning Association, CPR/AED Certified, Gravity Personal Training, EFI Sports Medicine, Muscle Activation Technique, Specialist, The BioSignature Method, and Certified Psych-K Health and Wellness.

Through rigorous training and continuing education, Dustin combines the knowledge of these varied certifications and his own extensive experience to create a program of maintaining body balance by rehabilitating injuries and strengthening weaknesses that has  proven unparalleled in its success.
